Why Pickups Need Specialized Hail Repair
A pickup truck has roughly 40-60% more upward-facing surface area than a sedan. That means a single hailstorm can produce dent counts well into the hundreds across the hood, roof, both bedsides, and tailgate. The repair complexity scales with surface area — and with the move to aluminum body construction on the 2015+ Ford F-Series, the technique requirements changed too. Aluminum doesn't have the same memory properties as steel and requires aluminum-specific tools and aluminum-PDR-trained technicians to repair correctly.
Bedside dents are another truck-specific challenge. Accessing the back of the bedside metal requires removing interior bedside trim panels — a step many general PDR shops skip because it adds time. We do this routinely and have the proper panel-removal tools and replacement clip kits to do it cleanly.
Working Trucks Get Working-Truck Service
Most pickups aren't showpieces — they're tools that earn their keep at job sites, ranches, and contractor lots. We schedule around your work hours, prioritize fast turnaround, and offer free loaner trucks for customers who need cargo capacity while their pickup is in the shop. Most repairs come back in 1-2 weeks with factory paint preserved, original Carfax intact, and a lifetime warranty on the work.
